Gransfors Bruks Small Hatchet #410

The lightest axe forged by Gransfors Bruks, the Small Hatchet is beautifully made; great for carving and sculpting.

Designed by Master Axe Smith Lennart Pettersson for limbing and splitting firewood, it works well despite it's small size. He developed a small and light axe that has the feel of an axe, the balance and keen edge go a long way towards making up for the small size and weight.

Lennart is a fisherman and also uses the small hatchet as a Priest, it makes a great tool for clearing the bank. Often people ask for one with his initials, but Lennart works more as a mentor to the younger smiths, so we haven't seen an LP axe for some time.

A very difficult axe to produce because only three smiths at Gransfors make them and the tolerances are much finer (hence the reason it is more expensive than some of the larger axes).
