Tried and Tested Gear Review: Woolpower Ullfrotté 200 Merino Thermal Underwear

Woolpower 200 thermal underwear is made from Ullfrotté Original 200 gram, a terry-knitted fabric and the thinnest version of Ullfrotté. The fabric is hard wearing and made of fine Merino wool, polyamide and most of all – air. The air in the fabric is really important as it insulates the heat that your body produces.

Tried and Tested Gear Review: Woolpower 400 Signature Socks

I was given a few pairs of these on a summer trip to Sweden about five years ago. It was my first Outdoor Academy of Scandinavia trip, where we used them for canoeing, walking, log rafting and indoor cross country skiing. Since then they have been my go-to everyday sock in Autumn and Winter for general wear at work when it’s a bit colder in the shop than usual. That doesn’t sound very outdoorsy I know, but they do get used for more adventurous things than going to work. I’ve used them for walking in the Denbighshire hills, canoeing and kayaking in cooler weather to keep my toes toasty and the occasional run.
