Gransfors Bruks Axes from Sweden - The UK's Biggest Range of Gransfors Axes, Handles, Sheaths and Sharpeners

Manufacturing axes since 1902, Gränsfors Bruk has built up a strong brand based around axes handcrafted with expertise, with a focus on real quality and environmental responsibility.

Located in the Swedish village of Gränsfors in northern Hälsingland, the forge sits at the heart of the village, where you can hear the rhythmic hammering of the smiths as you approach.

Each axe is forged by hand and signed with the smith’s initials as a guarantee of quality, with a razor sharp edge and long lasting, strong, convex grind. They come with their own tanned reindeer hide sheath and informative Axe Book, including a Forging Guarantee Card for 20yrs.

We receive new stock at least once a month, every month.

Order on line or come and view our selection in our Llangollen shop.

Gransfors have always worked hard on their responsibility to planet and people, as well as aligning their work with key elements of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

All the oil previously used to heat the factory or to heat the steel for their axes has also been completely phased out, and they have instead replaced the heating in the property with geothermal heating, and the steel is now heated by means of modern HF furnaces.
