Family Activities

Llangollen is a brilliant place for families to holiday. Surrounded by mountains, framed by crags and with a classic white-water river running through the town centre, it is the festival capital of Wales with Music, Ballooning, Adventure Festivals and more!

For families with children under 16 we offer a special package, saving over £100 on our standard rates! Choose one activity from the following list for a half-day family adventure, or two activities for a full day adventure! All these activities take place close to Llangollen, so you won't have to travel far to your activity site.

• Rock Climbing and Abseiling - half day or full day       (min. age 6 years)
• Kayaking - half day only                                           (min. age 6 years)
• Open Canoeing - half day only                                  (min. age 6 years)
• Gorge Walking - half day only                                   (min. age 8 years)
• Mountain Biking - half day or full day                         (min. age 8 years)
• Survival and Bushcraft - full day only                          (min. age 8 years)
• Mountain Walking and Navigation - full day only         (min. age 8 years)

Half day (1 activity) £130 for two adults and up to two under 16s*
Full day (2 activities) £240 for two adults and up to two under 16s*

We can put as many of these activities together as you want to create your perfect activity break - just email us telling us what you want to do and when, and we'll do the rest!

Kayaking and Open Canoeing - Family Safety Courses

Lots of people come to us who have just bought canoes or kayaks or who are considering doing so. These two day courses are geared to making you aware of the major dangers and how to deal with them effectively. This isn't the answer to everything, but when you finish the course we will make sure you have a good idea of what you can do safely and more importantly what you can't. We will include a canal and a lake day, with sheltered bay locations and easy white water as optional extra days.
