P. and H. M. August 2010

Hi Sal!

My new wife and I want to say a huge Thank You to the whole team!

We came to Llangollen on 16th-30th August 2010 (following our wedding on Friday 13th August) looking for an adventure honeymoon and with help from you and the team that's exactly what we got.

We started off with a half day archery course (Friday 20th) with Steff and Raul who were really good fun. (especially as Steff kept having to chase sheep away from the targets!)

Even after we were rained off half way through, they quickly diverted and we went on to have a go at indoor climbing which was great!

On Monday 23rd we booked a full day of outdoor climbing with Tom. We managed one climb and what seemed like a huge abseil outside before we were rained off again!  Tom suggested we go to the indoor climbing wall at Plas y Brenin to continue our climbing.  Tom is a brilliant instructor - he managed to get Heidi to climb right to the top of the wall which she wasn't too sure she could do!

We had a great time doing all the different routes and challenges he set for us and he was very good at helping us see what to do next when we thought we were stuck!

On Saturday 28th we went on a full days kayaking (mixed flat and white water) with Pete. We were part of a small group with mixed abilities.  We started off not being able to paddle in a straight line but by the end of the day we were going over the rapids with the rest!

We had plenty of time to play in the water and felt very safe with Pete who was very quick to assist with our numerous capsizes! It seemed Heidi and I preferred to travel upside down or back to front!

We did think to ourselves that Pete was actually half man/half kayak as he made it look so easy!

And last but not least was a full day of gorge walking on Sunday 29th.  We must give a huge thanks to our instructor Graham and his trusty sidekick Sam! What a team! They had us in absolute hysterics all day!

Please give a special thanks from us to Sam who was amazing-she is going to make a brilliant instructor one day and will be a credit to any team!

We had excellent fun diving into the freezing water from various heights and positions (my particular favourite being the 'superman' slide which Heidi watched through her fingers!)

Both Sam and Graham were great at getting the whole group to join in and weren't afraid to join in the fun with us-in fact Sam was usually the first one in and was really great at persuading us to take part with a few brave words or a nudge!

I think this has to be our favourite activity and we definitely want to do it again!

We can't stop raving on about what a brilliant honeymoon we've had and how much of that was down to you guys so thanks again!

We will be back!
