1% for the Planet

At ProAdventure we want to do more than help you enjoy nature, so we have chosen to put something back.

We are now a contracted member of www.onepercentfortheplanet.org, which commits us to giving one percent of our entire turnover to environmental charities and not-for-profit organisations. This year the money will mostly go to tree planting products in Asia which will more than offset our emissions. To plant some yourself please go to http://www.plant-a-tree-today.org/ but don't forget to do all you can to minimise your carbon footprint too. Beyond the tree planting we will give to local environmental and conservation work.

Why one percent of turnover? A percentage of profits would be easily manipulated, so the founders of one percent for the planet decided on one percent of the turnover. Even if we make a loss the environment will still be a little better for your help through booking or buying with ProAdventure.

In addition to this we are assessed for the Welsh Green Dragon Scheme for environmentally responsible business.

So spend a hundred pounds with us and know that after the tax man has had his slice for VAT that at least 85p will be spent on the environment.
