The instructions see it as a three day lifeboat ration, but for a reasonable level of activity you will want one pack per person per 24 hours.
This is not exciting food but a reliable and palatable ships biscuit type ration which can comfortably be eaten without water. They tend to get nibbled up when we have a pack open in the office.

Vacuum-packed in a trilaminate foil with additional protective outer cardboard box, the ration is guaranteed a shelf-life of five years unconditionally.
