About ProAdventureProAdventure Activities Ltd is the an established and independent Not for Profit UK adventure holiday company, offering you a wide range of activities tailored for individuals, families, groups, and companies. We have been running UK adventure holidays here in Llangollen in North Wales since 1991, and are fully insured and accredited by the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA). Our customers include individuals, families, groups, companies and local authorities, who come on activity holidays and adventure holidays, team-building events, and skills training courses in North Wales. Our aim is simply to provide you with the best adventure learning and experience!
ProAdventure® is based in Llangollen, one of the best UK adventure holiday locations, just one hour's drive from home for millions of people . The town is nestled snugly in the Dee Valley amongst high green hills. We are sure to give you an adventure that you will remember! We have been trading since 1991 and are a government licensed activity provider. We have provided activities for groups, individuals, private and public companies, including Nokia, B&Q, Autoglass, Orange, Her Majesty's Inspector of Taxes and several Local Government Departments. Peter Carol is the major shareholder and Managing Director, educated at Loughborough, with outdoor education experience spanning back to 1987, and personal experience stretching back much farther! He is a keen white water kayaker, and comfortably paddles Grade V rivers (on a scale from I to VI). He holds many adventure related qualifications and is a respected and skilled teacher, with the ability to pass on his enthusiasm, from calm waters to Snowdonia's mountain cliffs, and raging rivers. We pride ourselves on offering courses tailored to the needs of groups, and individuals, from a personal one-to-one basis, through groups of friends to Team-Building events for groups of over fifty people. Most of our activities are local to Llangollen but for some we choose the best natural sites and they may be up to 40 miles away. If you tell us well in advance we can provide transport to the activities at cost. We welcome visitors coming by public transport, Ruabon station (on the Chester to Shrewsbury line) is only about five miles away, with buses from Wrexham passing four times an hour. National Express run a daily service to and from London. Llangollen is great to visit for everyone, from children to grandparents. There is a lot to do including a steam railway, horse-drawn barge rides, walks, art galleries, bookshops, many good restaurants, International Canoeing events, a Jazz Festival, the International Musical Eisteddfod and more! |
